მოკლე ინფორმაცია

1978 წელს დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის მექანიკა-მათემატიკის ფაკულტეტი წითელი დიპლომით. 1978-1980 წლებში იყო სტაჟიორი თსუ ი.ვეკუას გამოენებითი მათემატიკის ინსტიტუტში.1986 წელს დაიცვა დისერტაცია აკადემიკის ანდრია ბიწაძის ხელმძღვანელობით. 1980 წლიდან 2000 წლამდე იყო უმცროსი მეცნიერ თანამშრომელი, ხოლო 2000 წლიდან 2006 წლამდე უფროსი მეცნიერ-თანამშრომელი ამავე ინსტიტიტში. ამასთანავე კითხულობდა ლექციების კურსს მათემატიკურ ანალიზსა და მათემატიკის სწავლების მეთოდიკაში თსუ გამოყენებითი მათემატიკის ფაკულტეტზე. 2007 წლიდან დღემდე არის თსუ გმი მეცნიერ-თანამშრომელი. 2008 წლიდან 2012 წლამდე იყო სამეცნიერო გრანტის ხელმძღვანელი. გამოქვეყნებული აქვს 66 სამეცნიერო ნაშრომი. არის ჟურნალ "გამოყენებითი მათემატიკის ინსტიტუტის გაფართოებული სემინარის შრომები" რედკოლეგიის წევრი.
არის ამერიკის მათემატიკური საზოგადოების (AMS) და საზოგადოება ინდუსტრიულ და გამოყენებით მათემატიკაში წევრი ( SIAM) 1999 წლიდან,ხოლო 2017 წლიდან ინჟინერთა საერთაშორისო ასოციაციის წევრი (IAENG), ჟურნალ MATHREW რეცენზენტი (რეცენზირება გაუკეთა 60-ზე მეტ ნაშრომს, რომელებიც გამოქვეყნებული იყო საერთაშორისო სამეცნიერო ჟურნალებში).
2022 წელს ინჟინერთა მსოფლიო კონგრესმა ჩემი ნაშრომი "N. Khatiashvili, "On the Creeping Flow in Prismatic Pipes," IAENG International Journal of Applied Mathematics, vol. 52, no. 4, pp1144-1149, 2022"აღიარა საუკეთესო ნაშრომად და გადმომეცა შესაბამისი სერტიფიკატი.
1992-2008 წლებში თსუ-ში ვკითხულობდი შემდეგ სასწავლო კურსებს: მათემატიკური ანალიზი, ალგებრა-გეომეტრია, ჰიდროდინამიკის შესავალი, მათემატიკის სწავლების მეთოდიკა.
