Aim and Scope

The Reports of Enlarged Sessions of the Seminar of I. Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of applied mathematics. The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of innovative theoretical, computational, and applied mathematical studies that arise from the work presented in the expanded sessions of the seminar at the I. Vekua Institute.

This journal welcomes contributions that explore a broad range of mathematical techniques, models, and methodologies with real-world applications, including but not limited to:

  • Applied and Computational Mathematics: Numerical methods, simulations, and algorithmic solutions to complex problems in diverse scientific domains.
  • Mathematical Modeling and Numerical Analysis: The development of models for physical, biological, and engineering systems, their practical implementation and numerical solution.
  • Optimization and Control Theory: Techniques for optimization, decision-making, and system control.
  • Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems: Theoretical and applied research on ordinary and partial differential equations, stability analysis, and dynamical behavior of systems.
  • Mathematical Physics: Connections between applied mathematics and physical phenomena, including fluid dynamics, quantum mechanics, and electromagnetism.
  • Probability Theory, Statistical Methods and Data Analysis: Advanced probability theory and statistical techniques, machine learning applications, and data-driven mathematical approaches.
  • Real and Complex Analysis and Applications: Study of analytic structures in both real and complex fields. Application of mathematical concepts in engineering, physics, and computer science, providing a platform for advances in the theory and application of mathematical analysis
  • Mathematical Logic and Foundations: Mathematical logic and the foundational aspects of mathematics covering topics such as set theory, model theory, proof theory, computability, and the philosophy of mathematics. Abstract theoretical underpinnings and the logical structures that form the basis of modern mathematics.
  • Applied Logic and Programming: Practical applications of logical systems in programming languages, algorithm design, and software development, formal verification, automated reasoning, logic-based programming paradigms, and the application of logic to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Mechanics of Continua: Behavior of solids and fluids under stress and strain, deformation processes, and applications in engineering, materials science, and geophysics. It highlights both fundamental theories and applied techniques used to solve real-world problems in mechanical and civil engineering.
  • Number Theory, Algebra and Geometry: Algebraic structures, modular forms, prime numbers, cryptography, coding theory, and geometric interpretations of mathematical principles.

The journal's scope extends to both pure and interdisciplinary studies, with a strong emphasis on contributions that bridge the gap between theory and practice in applied mathematics. We encourage submissions that focus on solving real-world problems and contribute to the advancement of mathematical knowledge in areas such as engineering, physics, biology, economics, and computer science.
