Summary

N. Zirakashvili is Senior Researcher at I. Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics of Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University.
In 1963-1968 he was a student of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, graduated in 1968 and was awarded the title of mathematician. From 1968 to 1988 he worked at Ilia vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics of TSU for various positions (mathematician programmer, senior engineer-mathematician programmer, Junior Research Fellow). In 1988-1997 he was a scientific degree seeker at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He received his Ph.D. in Physical-Mathematical Sciences at the same University in 1997.
He has authored around 68 scientific articles (23 articles indexed in Scopus and including 16 articles with Impact Factor, 38 articles in peer-reviewed journals), 37 theses and 1 chapter in Web of Science indexed book.
His areas of expertise include mechanics of continuous media, numerical (boundary element methods) and analytical (method of separation of variables) methods, mathematical and numerical simulation of the problems of elasticity, thermoelasticity and poroelasticity.
He participates in the educational process, in particular, with hourly pay (invited staff) participates in the educational process of the Department of mathematics of Ivane Javakhisvili Tbilisi State University.
