How to Reach Kutaisi?
There are three international airports in major cities of Georgia: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi.
Cheap flights are available from/to Kutaisi International Airport. There is WizzAir and several other companies with direct flights to roughly 20 destinations out of Kutaisi.
Tbilisi Inernational Airport is the busiest airport in Georgia, located 17km southeast of capital Tbilisi and 250km from Kutaisi. The airport is served by approximately 30 airlines, mainly from Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia serving roughly 30 destinations out of Tbilisi. You can take bus to Kutaisi from Didube bus station (price per person from Tbilisi to Kutaisi is 20 GEL - approx. 6 Euros).
Transport
Local transportation
Local transportation is very cheap in Kutaisi. Minibus and bus cost only 0.6 GEL (approx. 0.2 Euro). It is not required to buy the tickets beforehand in any case. The cost of transportation is to be paid to the driver in minibuses by cash, before leaving the transport. In buses, you have to pay by a bank card after entering the bus. Taxi costs 5-15 GEL (approx. 2-5 Euro) in Kutaisi between any two locations inside the city. You can use applications like Bolt to order taxi in Kutaisi.
