Welcome Party

Welcome dinner will be held at the Restaurant Apkhazeti. The location of the restaurnt is shown on the map below. There will be a group of (local) students walking from the venue to the restaurant directly after the last session on Monday. The walking distance is approximately 2.5 km (about 30 minutes).

Excursion

Main destination of our excursion is Dashbashi Canyon. The dinner will be in the Dashbashi village. The meeting point on Wednesday morning is inner courtyard of the venue (see the picture below). Please be on time, as bus might not wait for you.

IMPORTANT: The walking distance to Dashbashi Waterfall is 1.5 km, both of the ways - 3 km. The hiking trail starts near the village Dashbashi. Unlike other hiking trails, the starting point of it is located higher from sea level than the final point. It means that you have to walk downhill from the beginning and the uphill while coming back. The difference between heights is about 150 meters. It takes 1 - 1.5 hours for an average hiker to cover both ways. You don't need to cross the river to get to the canyon, so you don't need special equipment, but if you want to go to the bottom of the rock to take a photo, your foot will get wet. You should bring the other shoes too, which you can leave in the car and put back when you come back from hiking.
