Since 1995 the Tbilisi International Centre of Mathematics and Informatics (TICMI) has been working in VIAM, supported by the European
Mathematical Society, Georgian Mathematical Union and Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences.

Since foundation (2000) the Georgian National Committee of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (GNCTAM) acts at VIAM.
