Georgia is known as one of the oldest wine-making countries in the world. Kakheti is a region of Georgia where wine making has a long tradition.
We will provide the conference participants with a wine tour in Château Mukhrani. It is one of the most visited venues to get a fascinating insight into the traditions and secrets of Georgian wine-making, blended with remarkable stories about the Georgian Royal family. On the way to Château Mukhrani we will visit one of the oldest city Mtskheta.
Mtskheta was founded in the 5th century BC. It was capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia (Kartli) from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, the "Historical Monuments of Mtskheta" became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
